Port Douglas is close to where I live, and we love to go there regularly. The vibrant lifestyle, the intense colours and the relaxed vibe inspired me to paint this colourful depiction of the cafe life we love so much.

The ‘Places I Love’ series is about capturing and sharing a joyful experience of a special moment in time through colourful art and design. A walk in the park, a day in the country, walking the dog – all moments that can pass you by if you don’t stop and look. I like to re-interpret the place and the people, to reflect the experience in the moment. I enhance the joy, the light, the colours – until I feel I am there once again. The art is a unique and colourful story that draws you in to a time and a place that feels joyful and reminiscent.
