Places of Joy is my ongoing journey to seek out and paint the places that make me feel happy — places filled with colour, beauty, connection and memories.

From iconic destinations to hidden local treasures, I explore places that make me want to stop, look around and soak it all in. Each painting captures my experience of being there — not as a literal view, but as a vibrant interpretation of the colour, light, atmosphere and energy of the place.

But places are more than what we see. They become part of our stories.

As I travel, I collect stories connected to the places I paint. Some are my own; others come from people who know and love them. A favourite family tradition, a childhood memory, a special day, or simply a moment that stayed with someone.

These stories reveal what makes a place meaningful — and why some places stay with us long after we’ve left.

Every painting begins with a place. Every place has a story. And every story is part of a life worth painting.
