Places of Joy Originals

Places of Joy — Original Paintings

One-of-a-kind paintings of places people love, and the stories that live there. These are the places that make us stop and look. Places we’ve wandered, returned to, celebrated or carried with us long after we’ve left.

Each original begins with a real place and a real moment. I don’t set out to reproduce it exactly. Instead, I capture what made me stop – the colour, light, atmosphere, energy and feeling of being there.

Because a place is rarely just a place. It might hold a favourite holiday, a childhood memory, a familiar walk, a family story or a moment you want to remember.

Some paintings are accompanied by stories gathered from people who know and love these places, adding another layer of connection and meaning. These are paintings to live with. Colourful reminders of places you love, memories you’ve made and a life worth painting. Not simply paintings of places, but pieces of a story you can keep.
