Australia's Places of Joy

Australia’s Places of Joy is a celebration of the colourful places, landscapes, and communities that make Australia unique. Australia became my second home, and after spending 40 years living there and travelling extensively across the country, I developed a deep appreciation for its extraordinary diversity. From tropical markets and beachside towns to vibrant cities and wide-open spaces, each artwork captures the warmth, energy, and spirit of a place at a particular moment in time.

Rather than simply painting what I see, I paint what I feel. The colour of the light, the atmosphere, the sense of freedom, and the memories attached to a place are all woven into each piece. My goal is to recreate the experience of being there and the moments of joy I felt while immersed in such a rich and varied landscape.

Alongside the artwork, I collect and share stories from people connected to these locations. Stories of holidays, homecomings, celebrations, friendships, and everyday adventures that help define a place and make it meaningful.

These are places that stay with us long after we’ve left, reminding us of the moments that make life worth painting.
